Project:

Generation.MOBI

Main Objective

Strengthening research, technological development, and innovation.

Overview

The Generation.mobi is a research, development, and validation project of a new generation dynamic mobility management system, based on the concept of a social network of interactive bicycles, and interoperable with the city's ecosystem.

The project is developed in five key innovation lines: Bike-to-bike and bike–to-x communications architecture; Models and algorithms for predictability of the demand and adequacy of the offer of real-time mobility services, interaction with the electric grid and any kind of real-time georeferenced inputs; Modularity, flexibility, and portability of a micro-hub for urban mobility; Flexible architectures of electric and non-electric bicycles with shared, corporate or individual applications; Cardiac-biometry technologies applied to bicycle components, in high noise scenarios

The project generates a mobility management system that includes a network of interactive devices (e.g., bicycles) that will address a set of societal challenges within the framework of the European Horizon 2020 strategy.
