OVERVIEW

EREA, the Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics, is a non-profit organisation which gathers Europe’s most outstanding research centres active in the field of aeronautics and air transport with the aim of intensifying the co-operation in the field of civil, military and space-related aeronautics research. EREA, currently represented in 13 European countries, facilitates an integrated management of joint activities, thereby contributing to Europe’s role as a global player in aeronautics.

 

CEIIA AND EREA

CEiiA joined EREA in 2012, and is currently co-leader of the Aeronautics Research Group. One of the goals of CEiiA is to strengthen the participation of national entities in European projects within the Horizon 2020 framework.

 

THE FUTURE SKY INITIATIVE

Future Sky is a Joint Research Initiative based on the alignment of national institutional research for aviation by setting up joint research programmes: Safety (2015-2022), Quiet Air Transport (2017-2024), Air Transport Integration (2018-2025) and Energy (2019-2026). EREA believes institutional co-operation of European research establishments is the best guarantee to ensure technological development to the benefit of European society and industry.

 

CEIIA AND FUTURE SKY SAFETY

CEiiA is deeply involved in the Future Sky Initiative, and is an active member of Future Sky Safety. CEiiA participates in two of the research projects, the P4 – Total System Risk Assessment and the P7 – Mitigating the Risk of Fire, Smoke and Fume, and on the projects P1 – Coordination and P2 – Dissemination.
