A group of delegates of the ISPIM Innovation Conference Porto 2016 visited CEiiA in order to get acquainted with the experience and the lessons of creating a cluster based on the development of products and services to decarbonise urban mobility.
Blending Tomorrow's Innovation Vintage
The ISPIM Innovation Conference was focused on the latest innovation management thinking and gathered insights from 500 innovation experts (innovation researchers, industry executives, thought leaders and policy makers) from 50 countries in 50+ workshops, keynotes, tours and discussions.
The conference organised visits to four industrial clusters in the area of Porto and CEiiA welcomed a group of innovation management experts from different countries that had the opportunity of getting acquainted with the experience of creating a cluster based on the development of sustainable mobility products and services.
Decarbonising urban mobility – the creation of a cluster
During the visit to CEiiA, the delegates visited the Operations and Control Centre of mobi.me, the first smart management system for urban mobility that measures Green House Gas emissions in real-time.
The visit also included a panel and a Q&A session that discussed the importance of considering issues like technology, the regulatory framework and the market in the development of new products and services. The panel included presentations of two industrial companies, EFAFEC and IBÉRICA, which have been working alongside CEiiA in the development of innovative solutions to decarbonise urban mobility.
As a result of this collaboration, EFACEC is now one of the worldwide leading companies in the market of charging solutions for electric cars, motorcycles and buses. IBÉRICA is a supplier of the automotive industry currently taking a new market approach related with the development of new urban mobility solutions integrated with mobi.me.
The conference and the visit were possible due to the organisation of ANI – Agência Nacional de Inovação.
